WOLVERTON MANOR GARDEN FAIRSaturday 4th September - Sunday 5th September 201010.00 a.m. - 17.00 p.m.The most popular Garden Fair of the year held in the grounds of Wolverton Manor in aid of Age Concern; a fun day out for all the family, with a special emphasis on country crafts and gardening. The Fair also aims to develop a central role in raising awareness of conservation, so the Wight Wildlife marquee sponsored by the AONB Partnership will contain exhibits from many Partnership conservation groups and societies. There will be demonstrations of the many crafts which can be found on the Island, together with garden tools, gardening tips and horticultural exhibitors. Food is also a prominent feature, supported by several demonstrations and a variety of stalls ofering their wares. There is lots of free entertainment, including the popular Elizabethans with their music and dancing along with Flying Falcons, Kayaking, Dog Agility and Last Orders Irish Band. IW CYCLING FESTIVAL 18 - 26 SEPTEMBER 2010 This year's programme is now available to download as a pdf document, with rides varying from pleasant meanders through pretty villages to Cycle the Wight, a 70 mile road route around the Island's spectacular coastline. The festival kicks-off in Newport with a day of family entertainment, including the hilarious Sink or Swim. Watch from the riverbank as homemade pedal-powered crafts attempt to make it across the river Medina without geting wet!
