VE1 The important potential of the AONB as a sustainable resource for sport, leisure, recreation and tourism activities consistent with its conservation and enhancement is recognised. Such activities should be based on a sound understanding of the potential impacts on the area

Objectives:

  • To work with partners to ensure that access and recreation within the AONB is managed to conserve and enhance the landscape
  • To promote opportunities for sustainable tourism and access to the AONB for all
  • To promote responsible enjoyment of the landscape of the AONB through an increased understanding of its complexity, value and management
  • To market the AONB as a ‘Sustainable Tourism’ destination


 

VE2 People visiting and enjoying the AONB have an understanding of its importance, landscape character and its complexity and are encouraged to act responsibly in order to conserve and enhance these qualities
