The Delivery Plan 2009 - 2014

When the previous Action Plan was written the AONB Unit was in its infancy and it was important to record how we were going to approach our work. Many actions now form a part of the AONB Unit’s core work.

This ‘Delivery Plan’ sets out Partnership projects and actions to further the policies and vision of the AONB Management Plan, which we have agreed to undertake over the next five years (2009 - 2014).

It is our intention that this Delivery Plan will be updated annually. This should ensure that new actions or projects can be included for issues that arise after the revised Plan is published, and that any actions that are no longer required or relevant can be dropped. This will allow the Partnership to be more flexible in setting out its priorities for work, to make the best use of the resources available to us to conserve and enhance the AONB.

Rather than listing all the actions of the AONB Unit and Partnership members that are undertaken as a matter of course, the Delivery Plan will concentrate on activities and projects that add value to the work of the AONB. In this way we can list activities, actions and projects where the AONB Partnership is coming together to work to address particular issues that benefit the AONB, and its conservation and enhancement.
